Working With Public Health Data

Target Audience

Public health professionals; administrators; nonprofits; those that gather and share community data; and anyone that wants to strengthen or expand their background in collecting, analyzing and communicating population health data in support of healthy communities.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop skills in choosing data sources for projects.
  • Evaluate the quality of data sources.
  • Identify ways to access data.
  • Demonstrate best practices in interpreting data.

For this course, we will focus on examining existing data sources on structural, social and economic factors that may impact health outcomes.
