Communication Is Key: Responding to Crisis
Training Overview
Participants from across North Carolina attended a half-day, in-person training on crisis communications. This session used classroom instruction and small-group work to start leaders on the process of thinking through the importance of planning for and implementing communications strategies that allow for internal collaboration and maximize transparency with residents during a crisis.

This training was a pre-conference event at the North Carolina Public Health Leaders Conference on Wednesday, March 15 at 1-5 p.m.
The location was the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley, Salon E, in Raleigh, N.C.
Audience
This session was open to all local health department staff in North Carolina and all N.C. Division of Public Health staff.

The registration fee for this in-person training was $35.
This training was supported through a contract to the North Carolina Institute for Public Health from the North Carolina Division of Public Health as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Public Health Workforce Development Initiative investment in North Carolina’s public health workforce.
