Choosing and Accessing Data Sources
Target Audience
Public health professionals; administrators; nonprofits; those that gather and share community data; and anyone that wants to strengthen or expand their background in collecting, analyzing and communicating population health data in support of healthy communities.
Learning Objectives
- Identify commonly used data sites and their features.
- Describe the pros/cons of common data sources.
Description
In this course, we will discuss some example of available data sources and the type of information available from each source. We will review ways of accessing data from each source. We will also discuss some of the data gaps of each data source.
