In addition, through the North Carolina Institute for Public Health, our school offers additional professional development opportunities, including continuing education (CE) courses and management and leadership institutes.
Career services staff at the Gillings School can assist employers with their recruiting needs in a variety of ways:
Postings for current students or recent graduates (< 6 months out) – We are pleased to offer this service through Careerolina, part of the NACElink Network. The NACElink Network is a non-profit job posting service provided through an alliance of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the DirectEmployers Association, Symplicity Corporation and numerous collaborating colleges and universities across the country. Visit Careerolina.
Postings for alumni – The UNC General Alumni Association provides a service for employers with opportunities for experienced hires. Click “Post a Job” for members or non-members.
Career and Internship Fairs
We invite you to attend our annual events to showcase your opportunities to UNC graduate and undergraduate students. Visit Career Fairs for information about this year’s events.
We will be happy to arrange accommodations for you to interview students on site in Chapel Hill. This service includes advertising your opportunity, resume collection, interview scheduling, parking, and your interview space.
We will coordinate and publicize an information session about your organization and opportunities. Simply contact us to arrange the details.
Can’t make it to campus? We will advertise your opportunity, collect resumes and ship them to you for off-campus consideration. Log in to Careerolina, post your job, and request to receive online applications.
Offer support to students as they work through the career and job search process by participating in workshops and events sponsored through Career Services at the Gillings School. Volunteer opportunities may include serving on career panels, participating in our “Resume Rescue” critiquing or mock interview events, or offering workshops on job search skills. This is a great way to get name recognition for your organization while providing a valuable service to the next generation of public health professionals. Contact us to get involved!
