The ENRICH Carolinas project was funded by The Duke Endowment from 2018 – 2024. The funding enabled staff at CGBI and Population Health Improvement Partners to provide direct technical assistance to hospitals and communities engaged in maternity care improvement efforts, with the aim of increasing the number of births in the Carolinas occurring in facilities working to improve maternity care practices through Baby-Friendly designation or a state-level recognition program.
This project expanded the integration of the child care industry into the infrastructure of human milk feeding support. A key component was the development of consistent messaging for families, health care providers, and the Early Care and Education (ECE) workforce. We’re grateful for the collaboration of Baby-Friendly USA throughout the ENRICH Carolinas project.
See below for project highlights and impact (coming soon). Use the form to express interest in receiving this type of technical assistance in the future.
