Student government throws down!

Students from several SPH departments mix it up.
Since school started back in session this fall, student government has been hard at work planning events to get incoming and returning students revved up for the year! On September 24, 2009, as part of a series of welcome events, student government hosted its first ever SPH school-wide mixer. Over 100 graduate and undergraduate students from all departments mingled over dinner and drinks at Milltown, a popular Carrboro restaurant and bar located on Main Street. The event doubled as a fundraiser – all proceeds from the drink specials graciously offered by Milltown will be used to towards funding future student government endeavors. Jeff Nguyen, co-president of SPH-SG, said the event was a great success: “It was a great opportunity to meet students outside our department and learn a some new names!” 
Great friends, great food, and great drinks!
