Table Setup for Nutrition Coalition: Imitation food was brought to help explain serving sizes

The Hooker Atrium was the site of welcoming pandemonium on Thursday August 28, 2008 in honor of the annual Student Information Day. Students meandered through the tables offering diverse opportunities. Thirty-two organizations were represented, from student services, student organizations, and local volunteer organizations.

Participants included: A Helping Hand, American Heart Association Heart Walk, Carolina for Public Service, Chatham Social Health Council, Engineers Without Borders, LGBTQ Center, Nutrition Coalition, and Office of Global Health, just to name a few. The event was organized by the SPH Office of Student Affairs, who dressed the atrium with balloons and provided free popcorn. Student Information Day was a success in providing public health service opportunities to students and others with interest.
