Teme Levbarg, MSW, PhD, continuing education specialist with the North Carolina Institute for Public Health, received a “Recognition for Outstanding Service” award at the 2007 North Carolina Public Health Social Work Conference on April 17 in Chapel Hill. Levbarg was honored “for facilitating and providing training for public health social workers.”

The award was sponsored by The Continuing Education Training Advisory Committee (CETAC) and the North Carolina Association of Public Health Social Work.

Levbarg has been with the UNC School of Public Health since 1985 and works closely with CETAC to coordinate training options for public health practitioners. She also teaches various courses for the Institute’s Office of Continuing Education.
