Holliday appointed to North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition

Amanda Holiday, MS, assistant professor of nutrition at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, has been appointed for a three-year term as a member of the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition.
“I am grateful for your willingness to serve the people of North Carolina,” Governor Roy Cooper wrote in the letter of appointment. “Your leadership and commitment to this commission are key to our efforts to strengthen our communities and improve the quality of life for our people.”
In the position, Holliday will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of North Carolina from harmful nutrition practice. Her board appointment specifically works on the practice of dietetics/nutrition by working with the board on establishing educational standards for those persons seeking to provide nutrition care to the public.
Holliday will serve in the position until June 30, 2021.
