New study finds gene variant predisposes people to Type 2 diabetes and also low body weight

October 2, 2018 A new study finds that a well-known gene variant linked to Type 2 diabetes also may predispose a person to being leaner or having a lower body weight. The findings are striking, as many individuals with Type 2 diabetes are obese. $48M USAID award will support data use and evidence building in global health

September 30, 2018 Dr. Heidi Reynolds will lead MEASURE Evaluation's $48 million USAID project aimed at helping low-resource countries gather and use information to strengthen their health policies and programs and improve the health of their citizens.

September 19, 2018 Researchers at three universities will join together to form Advancing Science & Practice in the Retail Environment (ASPiRE). The project’s goal is to build a strong scientific evidence base for effective policies in the retail environment to help reduce tobacco use, tobacco-related disparities and the public health burden of tobacco, including cancer.
