Eight faculty members win Teaching Innovation Awards

Holliday, Simms, Samuel-Hodge win Gillings School awards for teaching, mentoring, public health achievement

April 21, 2018 Three faculty members have been selected to win the Gillings School's prestigious awards for teaching, mentorship, research and service. They are Amanda Holliday (the Greenberg Award), Jeffrey Simms (the Larsh Award) and Dr. Carmen Samuel-Hodge (the Barr Award). The winners will be recognized at the School's commencement on May 12.

Health policy and management senior named Luce Scholar

March 2, 2018 Leah Everist, an undergraduate health policy and management student at the Gillings School, has been selected as a 2018 Luce Scholar by the Henry Luce Foundation. Everist will take part in a year-long internship in community preparedness and disaster response in Asia.
