About

 Zhang focuses his research on the interactions between climate change, air pollution and human health, as well as urban air pollution.

Service Activities

Zhang has provided review comments for more than 100 journal articles including Nature Climate Change, Nature Communication, The Lancet Planetary Health, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Environmental Science and Technology, and so on. He also served as the Panel review for the 2020 NASA Postdoctoral program and the 2019 NASA FINESST programme. As for his social outreach and activities, Zhang co-hosted (as one of the two hosts) the 44th NOAA Climate Prediction Workshop at Duke University October, 2019. He is also an executive committee member for the 6th-8th International Conference on Air Benefits and Cost and Attainment Assessment (held in Beijing, Zhejiang and Guangzhou, China individually). Zhang served as coordinator for the AGU Fall Meeting Outstanding Student Paper award since 2017, and also convened two sessions at the 2020 AGU Fall Meeting “Global Environmental Change” and “Atmospheric Sciences”.
