About

Dr. Xiaojing Zheng, PhD is a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, and an adjunct faculty in the Department of Biostatistics, at UNC-Chapel Hill. She graduated from medical school and has PhDs in Human Genetics and Biostatistics respectively. She mentors graduate Biostatistics students, along with some master and undergraduate students.

The research interests of her team include but are not limited to, translational research to identify disease biomarkers through combined analysis of multi-omics data, including scRNA seq, DNA and proteomics; identification of the disease susceptibility genes and their regulatory network in infectious diseases for pathogenesis and improved prevention (eg. vaccine) and treatment; Development of statistical algorithms for mediation analysis, missing data inference, causal network analysis, and statistical deconvolution.
