About

Mike Park, PhD, MPH has experience in foreign assistance management, economic evaluations in resource limited settings, strategic planning, policy development and large-scale global health program implementation at field and headquarters levels for CDC, USAID and other U.S. non-profit and private sectors. His technical background includes quantitative and qualitative research methods, applied economics, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building. 

Mike currently serves as a Health Scientist for the Division of Global Health Protection at CDC. In this role, he serves as technical advisor on health economics research and provides technical assistance for developing policy and objectives and evaluations of interventions.

Mike has worked in more than 14 countries with Ministries of Health, multi-lateral donor organizations, and U.S. agencies. Mike began his career in global health as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar. He obtained an MPH from the Department of Maternal and Child Health and a PhD from the Department of Health Policy and Management at the UNC Gillings School of Public Health.
