Matt Maciejewski, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine, Research Career Scientist at the Center for Health Services Research in Primary Care at the Durham VA Medical Center and Adjunct Professor in the UNC Schools of Public Health and Pharmacy.

With funding from VA HSR&D, AHRQ, CMS, NIDA and the RWJ HCFO Initiative, Dr. Maciejewski has used VA and Medicare claims data and electronic health records to examine health and economic outcomes of interventions to improve the care of obese patients and patients with cardiometabolic conditions.

He serves as a Statistical Editor for JAMA, as an editorial board member of Health Services Research, and as a member of the Methods Council at AcademyHealth. Dr. Maciejewski received his PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Minnesota in 1998.
