Marcia Swartz

Staff/Administrative Duties

Marcia is a workforce development specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the public health field. She has worked in a variety of settings, including nonprofit, state and county public health agencies as well as community health-care settings. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work with a focus on public health. She has provided numerous trainings and educational programs. Marcia has expertise in program development and management, technical assistance, training and curriculum design.

Prior to joining NCIPH, Marcia worked at SHIFT NC providing technical assistance training with health center partners; her goals were to promote best practices and strengthen referral and linking networks as part of the North Carolina Youth Connective initiative. She also worked at the North Carolina Division of Public Health as a program manager.
