About

Lauren Jones (she/her) is the Community Data Coordinator at the North Carolina Institute for Public Health. In her role, Lauren supports a range of technical assistance projects. Along with providing high-level project coordination, she collaborates with various communities to identify and address racial and health disparities, and to ensure that data collection and interpretation is equitable.

Prior to joining the Community Assessment and Strategy team, Lauren worked as a Public Health Educator for Wake County Health and Human Services in Raleigh, NC, where she helped reduce sexual health disparities in minority communities by providing HIV/STD prevention education to local community organizations, colleges/universities, faith communities, and directly to the residents of Wake County. Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and assisting Solutions by Lynn, LLC in providing support and resources to children and young mothers in Wake County.
