About

My research interests include social and commercial determinants of dietary behavior and policy-level interventions in food environments to advance health equity and environmental sustainability. I concentrate on food environments in Latin America and the United States, with a particular emphasis on front-of-package labeling policies and the dynamics of food retail environments. So far during my graduate studies, I have led studies examining the impact of ultra-processed food warning labels, unintended consequences of front-of-package labeling policies on weight stigma, food purchasing patterns during the COVID-19 public health crisis, and co-location of fast-food outlets with alcohol and tobacco retailers.
