Dr. Allison Myers is a public health researcher, practitioner and social entrepreneur who trained in health behavior at UNC Gillings. She is co-founder and executive director of Counter Tools, a Carrboro-based client services and education 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to advance place-based public health. She is committed to research that helps to disseminate and implement evidence-based policy, systems and environmental approaches for health promotion and health equity. She has a keen interest in innovation, bridging research and practice, and mentoring students.
