Michael Steiner, MD, MPH, is the Pediatrician in Chief at N.C. Children's Hospital, the Chief of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics, a Michael F. Durfee Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics, and an adjunct professor with the Public Health Leadership Program.


Dr. Steiner is a general pediatrician who works in a variety of clinical settings ranging from primary care to care of children with medical complexity. His research focuses primarily on systems of care for children with medical complexity but has also included other topics of interest across general pediatrics including evaluating screening tests, gastroenteritis management and obesity in children.
