Gillings School alumna selected as Mitchell Scholar
November 20, 2017 Shauna Rust, BSPH, 2016 Gillings School alumna, has been named a recipient of the George J. Mitchell Scholarship, which supports graduate studies in Ireland. Rust, now a public health analyst in the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, was one of 12 in the U.S. selected for the award.

Published in The Lancet, the report was co-authored by a number of public health researchers and policy makers around the world.

Myers named RWJF Health Policy Fellow
August 15, 2017 Dr. Allison E. Myers, alumna and adjunct assistant professor of health behavior, has been named a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow. The fellowship will allow Myers to work in Washington, D.C., for a one-year period beginning Sept. 1 and to participate in federal policy processes.
