Parry honored with 2017 ‘Impact in Practice’ award

Kathy Parry, MPH, project manager at the Gillings School of Global Public Health’s Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute, accepted the 2017 Impact in Practice Award at the School’s annual Practicum Day, held on Oct. 6.

The award was established to recognize those who have made a significant, immediate and direct impact to public health practice during the practicum experience.

For four years, Perry has served as preceptor and mentor to students during their summer learning practica. She also serves as adviser to Carolina Bebes, a student group that advocates for breastfeeding.
