|Chartfields 101 CBT
|The CBT entitled Chartfields 101-Understanding ConnectCarolina Chartfields is a prerequisite to all ConnectCarolina training. Please complete it by clicking into the CBT site. You will have to log on with your onyen and password to access the training and your completion will be tracked within the system. The Chartfields 101 CBT lasts approximately 25 minutes.

|The Departmental Chartfield Quick Reference Cards were provided to every departmental business manager. This listing will be an invaluable resource, listing all fund-source combinations available to each department, as well as all existing grants and contracts. Each department should keep it up to date as new sources and Project IDs are created over the normal course of operations.

|University financial transactions must be recorded in a Source established in the University’s official books and records in ConnectCarolina. This policy outlines various procedures based on the Source type.
Chartfield Lookup Tool – In Infoporte, under the “Tools” menu, select the “Chartfield Lookup” tab, you can look up each core chartfield (Business Unit, Fund, Account, Department, Source). Type in a value in the corresponding search box and the description will appear.
