Tamiyah Braswell

About

Tamiyah is a communications professional with experience in writing, marketing, content development, public relations and strategic communications. She graduated from North Carolina State University with an undergraduate degree in Biology and minors in Nutrition and Dance, where she developed her passion for STEM. After graduating, she joined Nash County Public Schools as a Communications Coordinator, where she developed her passion for education. She came to UNC-Chapel Hill in 2022, as a communications specialist at University Communications. She currently works as a communications specialist at the Gillings School.

She is a native of Halifax and Nash Counties. When not hard at work, she enjoys all things pop culture, concerts, video games, and a good tv/movie binge session.

Staff/Administrative Duties

Tamiyah is a communications liaison for Health Policy and Management, Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She also manages the Internal Newsletter.
