About

Dr. Feltner is associate director of the RTI-UNC Evidence-based Practice Center as well as an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at UNC. She also core faculty in the Department of Public Health Leadership and Practice at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and serve as the concentration lead for the master of public health (MPH) concentration in Population Health for Clinicians. 

Dr. Feltner has a special interest in chronic disease prevention and clinical epidemiology. In addition to her clinical work seeing patients at the UNC Ambulatory Care Center, Dr. Feltner plays an active role in the education of medical students, residents and fellows.

She teaches courses on critical appraisal of the medical literature, prevention, systematic review methods and cost-effectiveness for the MPH Population for Health Clinicians concentration. She has published multiple systematic reviews for AHRQ and the USPSTF.
