Westreich receives SER’s Early Career Award
April 17, 2014
Daniel Westreich, PhD, assistant professor of epidemiology at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Society of Epidemiologic Research’s Early Career Award.
The award is offered in recognition of early-career epidemiologists who already have made substantial contributions to the field and who are poised to become future leaders in epidemiology.
Westreich, a 2008 alumnus of the Gillings School, joined the epidemiology faculty in 2013. He will accept the award on June 26 at the Society’s 47th annual meeting in Seattle and will give a talk during the meeting’s plenary session on June 27.
