September 26, 2017 Mya Roberson, epidemiology doctoral student, was one of 40 graduate students selected from across the U.S. to participate in the Health Policy Research Scholars program. The program, led by George Washington University, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, prepares the next generation of public health leaders to tackle persistent health challenges by creating innovative solutions through their research.

Grasty named Gillings School’s associate dean for advancement

September 26, 2017 Karissa Grasty has been named associate dean for advancement at the Gillings School, effective Nov. 1. She currently serves as assistant dean for advancement for both The University of Miami’s College of Engineering and its School of Nursing and Health Studies.
