Coffee breaks in the workplace serve as more than a quick fix for midday slumps, increased alertness, and productivity. The practice also produces a mentally healthy work environment by reducing stress and burnout and increases a sense of belongingness by building community with colleagues. Yoga, a form of mind-body fitness is classified by the NIH as a form of Complementary and Alternative Medicine and has a positive effect on health in the workplace, particularly in reducing stress.
