This symposium will feature talks by:

  • ClarLynda Williams-DeVane, PhD, Director, North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, Division of Public Health and Willysha Jenkins, MS Health Disparity Information Scientist and Database Manager, North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, Division of Public Health. Keynote: “Data Equity: reinventing data practices and culture”
  • Audrey Pettifor PhD MPH, Professor and Associate Chair, Department of Epidemiology, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Keynote: “HIV and CoVID-19 – who are we leaving behind? Health disparities and social determinants of infection, prevention and care”
  • And showcase University of North Carolina student practicum and research projects conducted at the North Carolina Division of Public Health, Communicable Disease Branch that address health equity.
