Critical Conversations: Exploring barriers to preventing and managing hypertensive disorders in pregnancy among women of color in the United States

The United States has one of the most advanced health care systems in the world, yet it has a higher maternal mortality rate than comparable countries. Maternal mortality affects women in the U.S. from all backgrounds. Among other conditions, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy are a leading cause of maternal mortality, at rates that disproportionately affect women of color. Join us as we identify and address barriers shaping this crisis and discuss strategies to improve maternal health outcomes.
