Caregiver Training on HIV-Exposed Child Neurodevelopment Talk

Michael Boivin, PhD, MPH, professor psychiatry, neurology and ophthalmology and director of the psychiatry research program at Michigan State University, will present a talk titled “Effects of Caregiver Training on HIV-Exposed Child Neurodevelopment and Caregiver Mental Health: Results from a Cluster Randomization Trial in Uganda.”
Dr. Boivin is a renowned expert in evaluating the neuropsychological outcomes of public health risk and resilience factors for children. He has pioneered research in the neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological impact of interventions for HIV disease, cerebral malaria, konzo disease, intestinal parasite and anemia treatment, and malnutrition in children. He has conducted this work in such countries as Uganda, Malawi, DR Congo, Benin, Mali, and South Africa.
