Tania Aburto, doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition, will defend her dissertation titled, "Dietary changes associated with hypertension diagnosis in Chinese adults." The dissertation completed was under the direction of Barry M. Popkin.

Lilia Pedraza, doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition, will defend her dissertation titled, "How did Mexico’s sugary drinks and junk foods tax change shopping behaviors, overall and across store types?" The dissertation was under the direction of Lindsey Smith Taillie and Barry M. Popkin.

Nutrition Coalition’s mission is to provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate student members to build relationships, share ideas, and perform community service in the campus and community that focus on issues related to food, food access, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
