Statistical Methods for Environmental Pollutants Seminar

Brett Doherty, PhD, MSPH, research associate from Dartmouth College, will present a seminar titled, “A Survey of Statistical Methods for the Investigation of Health Effects of Multiple Environmental Pollutants.”

This presentation will describe the challenges inherent to epidemiologic studies of multiple pollutants and detail a selection of popular families of statistical methods that can be used to investigate health effects exposures to multiple pollutants. The primary focus of the presentation will be the description of some popular families of alternative statistical methods that overcome some of the limitations of traditional approaches in this setting.
