Shared Decision Making During Pregnancy: Implementing Tools Using Health Information Technology

Dr. Allison Shorten’s 25 years of research contributes significantly to evidence connecting the model of pregnancy care to birth outcomes and developing, evaluating, and implementing decision aids for share decision making in pregnancy. Dr. Shorten developed and clinically tested the first best practice, evidence-based decision-aid for women with a previous cesarean, establishing the value of decision-aids in improving women’s experiences and outcomes.
