Human Respiratory Response to Air Pollutants Seminar

David B. Peden will present a seminar titled, “Determinants of human respiratory response to air pollutants.”
Dr. David B. Peden is the Harry S. Andrews Professor of Pediatrics, Medicine and Microbiology/Immunology as serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Translational Research, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology, and Director, Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma & Lung Biology for the UNC School of Medicine (SOM). He also has secondary appointments in the Departments of Epidemiology and Environmental Science & Engineering and the Department of Surgery in the SOM.
Dr. Peden’s translational research focuses on the effect of pollutants in asthma, genetic and biological factors which impact response to pollutants, and testing potential interventions to mitigate the effect of environmental contaminants in people who will be unavoidably exposed.
