COVID-19 and Beyond: Cities on the Front Lines of a Healthier Future
Event Navigation
On Thursday, October 29, the Partnership for Healthy Cities—supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the World Health Organization and Vital Strategies—is holding its first discussion to feature the voices of global health leaders and leading mayors on the urban response to COVID-19. The conversation will highlight how city leaders are innovating locally and collaborating globally to guide us through the pandemic toward a healthier future. The Partnership for Healthy Cities is a global network of 70 cities committed to saving lives by preventing noncommunicable diseases and injuries, and, most recently, supporting cities in their COVID-19 response.
To mark World Cities Day 2020, the Partnership for Healthy Cities will also release a portfolio of case studies from within its global network, showcasing the efforts of urban health champions to develop a playbook for this unprecedented pandemic.
The virtual event is the newest installment of the VitalTalks, a speaker series hosted by the global health organization, Vital Strategies.
