Jessica R. Thompson, PhD, is a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. Her research focuses on community-based approaches, chronic disease prevention, Appalachian women’s health and systems science. She recently received a Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) titled “Reducing Lung Cancer Risk Among Appalachian Women Using Community-Engaged Intervention Research.”
