Dr. Phillips broad research area is understanding and supporting the HIV continuum of care. Her research to date has investigated the impact of mobility and care transitions on adherence and retention in HIV care among pregnant and postpartum women in Cape Town. She has been investigating the use of routine electronic medical records in the Western Cape to track and trace mother-infant pairs with gaps in vertical transmission prevention steps (the REMInD study).
