Brave Conversations Facilitator MasterClass: Overview of the 8 Step SCCCCALE Framework

This lecture qualifies for 1.5 hours of credit toward the annual Gillings School inclusive excellence training requirement for faculty and staff.

In this free 90-minute session, Dr. Lewis will provide an overview of Brave Conversations MasterClass. You will experience the first session of the Masterclass, Overview of the 8 Step SCCCCALE Framework. 

This virtual workshop is timely and relevant. The current iteration of America’s reckoning with race has created an acknowledgment that racial injustice will not be eradicated without intentional brave conversations about the historical, pervasive, and destructive impact of racism in America.

Dr. Lewis prepares you to be a skilled, competent, conscientious, and confident facilitator. He will help you understand the art and science of facilitating racially nuanced conversations. You will leave the session more prepared to lead brave conversations in your work, community or college environment.
