VISA no longer accepted for tuition payments
August 22, 2006 | |
Effective August 28, 2006, the University Cashier will no longer accept VISA as a form of payment. We will continue to accept MasterCard and Diners Club cards online. In addition, we will accept online payments from checking accounts through Student Central. In the past, the University Cashier has accepted VISA and charged a two percent processing fee. VISA will no longer allow us to charge a percentage processing fee. Unlike other merchants, the University is not able to cover these processing costs by raising its rates and has chosen not to assess a new student fee to cover this cost. More information about payment options is available on the University Cashier’s web site. Please note: The University Cashier will still accept VISA for tuition bills due on August 22, 2006, as this date is before the new policy takes effect. For further information, please contact the University Cashier’s office. This announcement is sponsored by: Student Accounts and University Receivables
