Undergrad Hari Ramalingam awarded a Taylor Honors Mentored Research Fellowship

Hari Ramalingam (BSPH) was awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) from the Office of Undergraduate Research and a Taylor Mentored Research Fellowship for the Summer 2009. Ramalingam is a second year undergraduate student pursuing majors in Biostatistics and Biology. He worked under the direction of Dr. Scott Magness in the Department of Medicine to study the role of different levels of the stem cell marker SOX9 in colorectal cancer. The results of this research project are anticipated to be presented in the Undergraduate Research Symposium scheduled for April, 2010.
