Tilson receives leadership award at Pacific Drug Safety Summit
Hugh H. Tilson, MD, DrPH, has been honored by the drug safety firm, BioSoteri Inc., with its first Pacific Drug Safety Summit Leadership Award. Tilson, adjunct professor in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health’s Public Health Leadership Program and senior adviser to the Public Health Grand Rounds, a program co-sponsored by the School and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accepted the award at the third annual meeting of the Summit on Sept. 25 in San Francisco, Calif. An internationally acclaimed epidemiologist and outcomes researcher, Tilson was the moderator of the event and serves as chair of BioSoteria’s board of advisers.
