The Gillings School’s External Advisory Committee consists of five senior leaders in public health from external organizations (three current/former deans of schools of public health) who provide input to the Dean’s Council regarding our academic and research programs. EAC members also: identify potential academic concerns and issues and to provide advice on best practices and provide perspective regarding how other schools of public health handle issues such as faculty governance, indirect costs, global health and centers. This committee convenes approximately once every 18 months.
