About

Annie Green Howard, PhD is a clinical research professor in the Department of Biostatistics with more than 10 years of experience as a researcher. She specializes in using longitudinal models and latent variables to study the integration of biology, behavior and environment in relation to obesity and cardiometabolic disease.

Dr. Howard has worked with collaborators at the Carolina Population Center for the past three years, specifically working with the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS). More recently, she has started to apply her expertise to large-scale cohort studies in the United States such as CARDIA and Add Health.
