PHield Trip: Orange County Health Department - Fall 2019

Offered during the fall each year, the PHield Trip experience provides an immersive experience for students, faculty and staff to engage with public health partners throughout the community. Transportation and meals and/or snacks will be provided.

With health clinics in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, the Orange County Health Department works to enhance the quality of life, promote the health and preserve the environment for all people in Orange County.

We’ll start our trip in Hillsborough, the county seat and home to many county government offices, to learn more about the various programs of the local health department through an interactive scavenger hunt, then tour the facility and get to know departmental leaders before heading back to Chapel Hill.
