We help our public health and healthcare clients better understand their organization or the stakeholder organizations with which they work. We listen to our clients, and based on their needs, we focus our data collection and analysis on their environment, their performance relative to their mission and goals, their capacity to provide their products and services and to support and empower their workers, and their culture and incentives/rewards. We have worked with many organizations analyzing their conditions and offering practical solutions that map against their mission and goals and recognize their capacity and aspirations.
Our team members have worked with many clients to win contracts, plan for, and manage capacity-building (e.g. automating environmental health permitting) and programmatic (e.g. community-based diabetes intervention) projects. Our team includes PMP-certified project managers. NCIPH can also draw upon faculty expertise within the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health for content expertise on health disparities, chronic diseases, disease surveillance, healthcare transformation and many other topics.
Healthcare and public health organizations are facing unprecedented challenges as they attempt to address increasing costs of care, enhance quality of care, and engage in healthcare reforms. NCIPH assists clients to better understand and respond to these challenges, providing a range of strategic planning services such as establishing and tracking an organization’s strategic direction, conducting environmental scans, assessing organization capacity and readiness for change, and identifying and clarifying adaptive initiatives (e.g. new service delivery models.) NCIPH has particular expertise in helping NC public health agencies meet state accreditation requirements for strategic planning.
We work with public health and healthcare organizations to analyze work processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement. We assist our client organizations in the execution of Plan, Do, Study, Act and LEAN approaches to Quality Improvement. Not only do we work with our clients to improve their work processes, but we also empower them to conduct future QI interventions themselves.
