MCH graduate recognized for work in Hispanic community

Zipatly Mendoza, MPH, 2006 alumna of UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health’s maternal and child health department, was presented with a “40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40” award at a luncheon in Phoenix on Sept. 21. The award is presented by Chicanos por la Causa Inc., a community development corporation that offers educational and social services and services in economic and community development to low- and middle-income Arizona residents of Mexican descent.
The “40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40” program recognizes leaders in the community who make positive contributions to life in the Phoenix area.
