Karen Sokal-Gutierrez, MD, MPH, clinical professor, UC Berkeley/UCSF, will speak on “Feeding a Hungry World.” Dr. Sokal-Gutierrez is a physician trained in pediatrics, preventive medicine, and public health, with a focus on maternal-child health. She has worked in global health for over 30 years, including the last 10 years leading a family of studies on children’s oral health and nutrition in El Salvador, Ecuador, Peru, Vietnam, Nepal and India.
