Annual RTI PHield Trip
The Annual RTI PHield Trip is a collaborative event hosted by UNC Gillings and RTI International, designed to provide students, staff, and faculty with a unique opportunity to explore public health in action. This event typically features engaging sessions with public health experts, hands-on learning experiences, and networking opportunities with professionals in the field. An interdisciplinary symposium to mark the 100th anniversary of one of the deadliest pandemics in human history was hosted April 4-6, 2018, by UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health, UNC Libraries, UNC’s Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and RTI International.

Gender-Based Violence Research Conference

The UNC Gender-based Violence Research Group (GBVRG) and RTI kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) with an intramurally-focused conference featuring a poster fair, panel discussion and keynote lecture contributing to a wider conversation of gender-based violence on university campuses in North Carolina and the world at large.

The event centered around strengthening the networking between UNC faculty and RTI members by allowing a space to generate ideas for additional technical collaboration areas.
