Water & Health Conference: Research, Policy and Practice
October 4-8, 2021

VIRTUAL SESSIONS BROUGHT EXPERTS IN GOVERNMENT AND NONGOVERNMENTAL SECTORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

The 2021 UNC Water and Health Conference: Science, Policy and Practice, was co-sponsored by RTI, and explored drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and water resources in both developing and developed countries with a public health emphasis.

Going Viral– Impact and Implications of The 1918 Flu Pandemic

An interdisciplinary symposium to mark the 100th anniversary of one of the deadliest pandemics in human history was hosted April 4-6, 2018, by UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health, UNC Libraries, UNC’s Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and RTI International.

Ending Gender Inequalities: Addressing the Nexus of HIV, Drug Use, and Violence with Evidence-based Action

The RTI Global Gender Center held an action conference to highlight successful evidence-informed gender research and practice, strategize solutions and broaden intervention implementation in usual care settings, featuring plenaries, panels and a multilevel collaborative session.

Gender-Based Violence Research Conference
April 1, 2015
The UNC Gender-based Violence Research Group (GBVRG) and RTI kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) with an intramurally-focused conference featuring a poster fair, panel discussion and keynote lecture contributing to a wider conversation of gender-based violence on university campuses in North Carolina and the world at large.
