Sharita R. Thomas is a public health and health policy researcher with a desire to leverage population-based, sociological, and experimental models to identify and assess community-level drivers of health outcomes in order to inform and support corrective and effective policy. She received her Masters of Public Policy, with a focus in Health Policy, from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and her Bachelors of Science in Health Policy and Administration with a Minor in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to seeking a PhD, Sharita was a research associate with the North Carolina Rural Health Research Program at the Cecil G Sheps Center for Health Services Research with a particular focus on health disparities and qualitative research methods.
